What to photograph

A good photo of the fuse board answers most of the first questions: what kind of board it is, how many circuits there are, and whether it has RCD protection.

For a fault, add the socket, switch or fitting itself, and the board with the tripped device showing.

For something new, such as an EV charger, outside lights or extra sockets, add where you want it and the route back to the board.

Example A useful photo of the board

  2. BThe chart in the door, or whatever labels there are.
  3. CThe devices, close enough that the ratings on them can be read.
  4. DThe cables going in, and the meter if it is next to the board.
